After three years at the helm of his 21ft Cygnus, Dolores, James realised that a bigger, more comfortable boat was in order. After months of searching far and wide for the perfect boat, he discovered the Madeline Rose, a 26ft Sea Mark for sale right under his nose in Mylor. It was love at first sight!

After spending the winter months preparing her for a new career as a mackerel tripping boat (and meeting all the strict safety requirements for MCA coding), the Madeline Rose took her first customers out this April. A month later, all rigged up with blue and white bunting, she ferried James and his new wife Amanda back from the beautiful St Just in Roseland church where they were married.

James runs Fish and Trips of St Mawes with administrative support from his wife, Amanda, and his three year old son, Billy, who sometimes helps scrub the decks at the end of the day as a treat!!
